DESCRIPTION
The questions about God and spirituality are usually seen by the die-hard scientists as arenas of interest for those who are not clever enough to live up to the challenges of reason which scientific mind may demand. By claiming to possess the higher power of reasoning many of these arrogant scientists refute those who talk about spirituality and consider the spiritually oriented persons as baser creatures. In this book, a man who had begun his academic life as a scientist and worked in theoretical nuclear physics, particle physics and cosmology, describes his spiritual experiences, which he has found no way to explain by using the rational arguments and methods of science. He has tried to analyse his experiences by using the knowledge of psychology, neurology and biology among others. At the end he remains equally baffled, as he had always been in his life, since he experienced for the first time the presence of God in his life in his early childhood. He has wondered if his experiences could represent a “mental case” caused by misfiring of neuronal activities, as some die-hard scientists would say. Or, has he been experiencing something really weird which science can never explain? As to the intelligence of the author the book should clearly speak about his intellectual capacity and power of reasoning. After reading this book it may not be easy for the atheist scientists to laugh at spirituality as a product of the lesser mind. It may at the same time give opportunities to the readers to judge how the arguments of the die-hard scientists should be received and appreciated. Is the content of this book a case of a brain damage resulting in wrong neural circuitry which has generated the experience of the incomprehensible phenomenon, or does there truly exist any God? After experiencing dilemma and conflicts for about fifty years the author still does not find an answer. He has revealed his hidden world with a hope that the others may find an answer.
